Job summary

Moranbah seeks a Senior Heavy Vehicle Mechanic / Workshop Manager to lead our workshop operations while staying hands-on on the tools. The role requires overseeing a small depot, mentoring mechanics and apprentices, and ensuring high safety and service standards.

You will manage daily workshop activities, scheduling, and fleet maintenance to meet safety and performance targets, with a leadership focus and strong customer collaboration.

Qualifications

• Trade qualification as Truck Mechanic - Heavy Commercial Vehicle.
• Commitment to safety and customer service outcomes.
• Experience in heavy vehicle/truck or diesel industry.
• Licence: HR/HC/MC preferred but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a culture of safety first.
• Lead, mentor and support workshop staff, including promptly addressing any concerns as required.
• Managing the daily operations of the workshop to ensure efficient scheduling and productivity.
• Ensuring the fleet is maintained to and in compliance with company standards with an emphasis on safety.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with customers, suppliers and internal stakeholders, including the driving team.
