Job summary

Multicultural Consulting Services Pty is seeking a seasoned safety leader to drive health and safety performance on a solar and battery energy development near Woodstock. You will guide project teams and contractors through high‑risk activities and embed consistent safety practices on site.

Local FIFO opportunities from Queensland home ports to Townsville are available, with exposure across transport, defence and infrastructure projects.

Qualifications

• Tertiary or diploma qualification in workplace health and safety or related discipline.
• At least ten years in construction, infrastructure, energy or renewable-sector safety roles.
• Strong knowledge of WHS legislation, risk management and ISO 45001 / ISO 14001 systems.
• Experience in contractor management, audits and incident investigations.
• Credible leadership and communication that influences people at all levels.

Responsibilities

• Establish and oversee project health and safety systems.
• Provide practical guidance on risk controls, contractor activities and statutory compliance.
• Check WHS obligations and relevant rail safety requirements where applicable.
• Lead investigations, audits and performance reporting and turn findings into improvements.
• Build effective working relationships with regulators, clients and project stakeholders.
• Influence leaders and delivery teams to maintain a strong safety culture.
