Job summary

DXC Technology in Canberra is seeking a senior cybersecurity advisor to lead governance, risk and compliance engagements for federal departments. You will mentor consultants and drive assurance programs, drawing on deep knowledge of PSPF, ISM, Essential 8, NIST CSF and CIS.

The role requires 8+ years IT experience with 5+ years in information security, plus IRAP assessor experience or progress toward it; you will engage CISO-level stakeholders and deliver strategic security outcomes.

Qualifications

• 8+ years IT experience with 5+ years in Information Security, GRC, Risk or Audit.
• Deep knowledge of PSPF, ISM, Essential 8, DSPF, ISO 27000, NIST CSF/800 series, and CIS.
• IRAP Assessor experience or actively pursuing.
• Policy writing aligned to ISM/PSPF and security governance.

Responsibilities

• Lead delivery of governance, risk, compliance, and assurance services across Federal Government departments.
• Mentor junior consultants and engage with senior government stakeholders (CISO-level and above).
• Deliver strategic security outcomes and drive security assurance programs.
