Job summary

Client 1 in Canberra is seeking a Cyber GRC Specialist to join their security team. You will implement governance, risk and compliance activities aligned to Australian Government frameworks, including ISM, PSPF and ASD Essential Eight.

The role involves security authorisation, risk assessments and collaboration with stakeholders to uplift cyber security maturity in a government-aligned environment. On-site position with PV clearance preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum three years of Cyber Security or GRC experience.
• Strong knowledge of PSPF, ISM, ASD Essential Eight and NIST frameworks.
• Experience conducting cyber security risk assessments and developing risk mitigation strategies.
• Ability to engage with stakeholders at varying technical and seniority levels.
• Experience in enterprise security environments and regulated sectors (government, telecoms, energy).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Australian Citizenship with the ability to hold a PV clearance.

Responsibilities

• Develop, deliver and maintain security authorisation documentation (SSP, RM Plan, IRP).
• Support Government Accreditation to Operate (ATO) processes.
• Implement and maintain ISM, ASD Essential Eight and NIST controls.
• Provide cyber security advice to support monitoring and design improvements.
• Conduct cyber security risk assessments to identify threats and vulnerabilities.
• Assist with the development and maintenance of security policies and procedures.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to improve security posture and risk management.
• Support continuous improvement across governance, risk and compliance functions.
