Job summary

The Victorian Equal Opportunity and Human Rights Commission in Melbourne is seeking a senior governance adviser to help make sound decisions. You will guide planning, support leaders and ensure staff duties are met.

You will provide clear advice to the commissioner, board and leaders on plans, risks and decisions, coordinate business plans, and prepare accurate reports and briefing notes. The role is a fixed-term, full-time contract for 18 months with a salary of $142,790 to $166,938 per year

Qualifications

• Experience providing expert advice on equal opportunity and human rights.
• Experience supporting boards and committees with governance knowledge.
• Strong writing skills to draft, edit and check complex documents.
• Sound judgement to solve problems and respond calmly to change.

Responsibilities

• As senior governance adviser, help make sound decisions for the Commission.
