Victoria's Equal Opportunity and Human Rights Commission is seeking a fixed-term Governance Advisor to shape decisions and guide the board. You will provide expert advice on risk, plans and governance, coordinating business plans and reporting to senior leaders and committees.

The role focuses on drafting, editing and maintaining records with sound judgement and resilience. Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples are encouraged to apply; pre-employment checks may apply.

Qualificações

• Experience providing expert advice on equal opportunity and human rights.
• Experience supporting boards and committees, with knowledge of government processes and governance or the ability to learn quickly.
• Strong writing skills to draft, edit and check complex documents with care.
• Sound judgement to solve problems, build working relationships and respond calmly to change.

Responsabilidades

• Provide clear advice to the commissioner, board and leaders on plans, risks and decisions.
• Coordinate business plans and track progress towards agreed goals.
• Prepare and check accurate reports, speeches, letters and briefing notes.
• Organise board and committee meetings, prepare papers and record key decisions.
• Maintain effective policies and records for risk, integrity, privacy and information security.
