Job summary

People Group Recruitment seeks a seasoned Project Manager to lead and optimise international logistics operations from Melbourne. You will play a pivotal role in coordinating with senior management on business development, tender responses, and global client engagements.

The role requires a track record in international logistics, strong negotiation and communication skills, and the ability to manage a team and complex cargo movements across domestic and international routes.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree or relevant experience.
• 10+ years international logistics experience.
• Project manager experience.
• Strong negotiation skills.
• Ability to represent the company at all levels and build client relationships.

Responsibilities

• Participate in business development with senior management.
• Develop relationships and assist with new pipeline building.
• Assist with tender writing and client escales.
• Liaise with clients on operational issues and urgent cargo movements.
• Provide cost estimates and solutions for cargo movements (including OOG).
• Monitor urgent cargo movements and report to clients.
• Ensure timely freight movement domestically and internationally.
• Guide staff on efficient cargo movement and liaise with overseas offices.
• Manage team leave, performance planning and KPI setting.
