Job summary
Geosyntec Mining is seeking a Senior Geo-Environmental Engineer with civil, geotechnical and geosynthetics experience to join our Melbourne or Brisbane office. The role focuses on design, assessment and support of geosynthetic containment systems across mining and industrial projects, with client interaction and leadership responsibilities.
You will contribute to project management, mentoring junior staff, and delivering technical reports and specifications.
Qualifications
- Bachelor degree required (civil/geotechnical/geo-environmental or environmental engineering).
- Advanced degree preferred. Chartered status desirable.
Responsibilities
- Design and assess geosynthetic lining and containment systems for mining and related facilities.
- Material selection, specification, construction, inspection and condition assessment of geosynthetic systems.
- Engineering analysis for geo-environmental and geotechnical design (earthworks, drainage, containment).
- Field investigations, site inspections, and construction surveillance of geosynthetic installations (CQA).
- Prepare technical reports, drawings, and documentation; communicate findings and risks clearly to clients.
