Job summary

Advertising Producers Association in Australia seeks a Senior Project Development Engineer - Gas Powered Generation to join our Infrastructure Engineering team in Brisbane, QLD or Sydney, NSW on a permanent full-time basis.

You will provide senior technical leadership, coordinate multidisciplinary activities, and translate requirements into robust, cost-effective solutions that support investment decisions and project delivery. Strong engineering and stakeholder skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree with eligible professional body membership (Engineers Australia or equivalent).
• Senior experience in development, design and delivery of gas-fired power generation or similar energy projects.
• Strong technical judgement and commercial awareness balancing safety, risk, performance and cost.
• Experience coordinating multidisciplinary activities across development, commercial, projects, grid and procurement.
• Knowledge of legislation, standards and regulatory obligations relevant to energy infrastructure.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and negotiation skills with many external partners.
• CPEng or RPEQ eligibility within 12 months.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate multidisciplinary development engineering from concept to delivery and operation.
• Develop cost-effective, integrated power solutions including generation tech, gas supply, electrical systems and grid connection.
• Own FEED studies, design bases, specifications, calculations and interface records.
• Provide technical input to business cases, cost estimates, schedules and procurement strategies.
• Lead option evaluations, design risk assessments and safety studies balancing multiple factors.
• Support procurement through market engagement, tender evaluation and contract advice.
