Job summary

ESR Group in Sydney seeks a Senior Fund Analyst for an 8-month fixed-term contract. You will lead fund financial modelling, perform market and investment analyses, and prepare investor-ready reporting to support portfolio growth across ESR-managed funds.

The role requires 3–6+ years of funds management/real estate experience, strong Excel skills, and the ability to communicate complex financial data to stakeholders at all levels. Hybrid work arrangements are available in Sydney.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in finance, commerce, real estate, or a related discipline.
• 3–6+ years' relevant experience across funds management, real estate, investment banking, advisory, or a related field.
• Strong financial modelling and analytical capability, with advanced Excel skills and experience in real estate forecasting tools.
• Experience preparing high-quality presentations and reports (PowerPoint).
• Strong commercial acumen, with the ability to interpret and communicate complex financial information clearly.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with confidence engaging stakeholders at all levels.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development, maintenance, and continuous improvement of fund financial models, ensuring accurate forecasting of cash flows, capital requirements, and investment performance.
• Deliver detailed financial analysis and scenario modelling to support strategic decision-making and optimise fund outcomes.
• Support the preparation of annual business plans, quarterly reporting, and investor deliverables.
• Partner with Fund Managers, Asset Management, Development, and Capital Transactions teams to evaluate acquisitions, developments, leasing, and divestments.
• Contribute to the development of fund and asset-level investment strategies and key initiatives.
• Assist with capital management initiatives, including debt and funding strategies.
• Undertake market research and analyse relevant economic and real estate data to inform investment decisions.
• Build strong internal and external stakeholder relationships, including with investors and service providers.
