Job summary

Allura Partners is seeking a Senior Full Stack Engineer to build a new product from the ground up, working across the TypeScript stack from React front end to Node services. You’ll join a cross-functional squad reporting to the Engineering Manager, with ownership of what ships.

Based in Sydney, this contract offers hybrid work with two days a week in the office and an initial 6-month term with extension prospects, plus a modern TypeScript stack and close collaboration with product and design.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of commercial software engineering, including time in SaaS or product companies.
• Deep TypeScript and Node.js experience building services and APIs, with GraphQL highly regarded.
• Strong React experience on production web applications.
• Hands-on AWS experience and PostgreSQL skills.
• Comfortable with automated testing, CI/CD and Git-based workflows.
• Previous contract roles and the ability to deliver quickly in a new team.
• Confident using AI coding assistants in day-to-day delivery.
• Full Australian working rights.

Responsibilities

• Build and ship features end to end in TypeScript, from React front ends through to Node.js services.
• Design and build the APIs that power the new product, using GraphQL or REST.
• Work with the Product Manager and Product Designer to shape features from early concept through to release.
• Write automated tests and contribute to the CI/CD pipelines that get releases out safely.
• Review pull requests and pair with other engineers to keep code quality high.

Our client is a Sydney-headquartered B2B SaaS company whose platform is used by thousands of businesses across Australia and overseas. Well funded and growing quickly, they're investing in product and engineering as they expand into new markets and launch new product lines.

About the Role

You’ll report to the Engineering Manager and join a cross-functional squad alongside a Product Manager, Product Designer and fellow engineers. The contract is focused on building a new product from the ground up, working across the TypeScript stack from React front end to Node services, with real ownership of what ships.
