Job summary

Beforepay Group in Sydney seeks an experienced Frontend Engineer to own the quality of web experiences for money management. You’ll ship React and TypeScript features end to end, and set frontend direction with product, design and backend engineers.

You’ll mentor teammates and enforce WCAG 2.2 AA and Core Web Vitals, while optimizing performance with Lighthouse. Strong React/TS skills, modern JavaScript, and REST/GraphQL experience are essential; fintech familiarity is a bonus.

Qualifications

• 5+ years building production web apps with React/TypeScript.

Responsibilities

• Build and ship React and TypeScript features from design to production.
• Own frontend architecture decisions: state management, data fetching, component structure.
• Mentor engineers through code reviews and pairing.
• Ensure accessibility (WCAG 2.2 AA) and Core Web Vitals; treat as criteria, not afterthoughts.
• Collaborate with product and design early to surface feasibility and edge cases.
