Job summary

Easygo is building a leading video playback and live streaming platform. We are seeking a senior frontend engineer to architect, implement, and optimise the video player experiences, with a strong emphasis on ad-tech, latency, and cross-platform delivery.

You will mentor peers and collaborate with product, design, and operations to deliver high-impact features. This role sits within a fast-paced team working on VOD and live streaming, across web and connected platforms, including TV devices.

Qualifications

• Significant frontend web development experience (React/TypeScript) with testing.
• Proven expertise in video player and advertising tech within a streaming environment.
• Experience with VOD and live streaming implementations, including ad insertion and stream stability.
• Proficiency in TypeScript, React, Next.js, GraphQL, and Tailwind CSS.
• Experience with Figma and a pixel-perfect implementation mindset.
• Excellent communication skills for cross-team collaboration.
• Proven track record building design systems and complex UIs across platforms.
• Strong problem-solving skills in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Architect and develop frontend solutions for the video player with stable, high-performance VOD and live playback.
• Implement player ad-tech integrations with third-party vendors to optimise CPM while maintaining user engagement.
• Build frontend interfaces enabling creators to manage streams and engagement.
• Optimize playback experiences for low latency, high quality, and stability under load.
• Coordinate handoffs to Android, iOS, and Roku teams for cohesive cross-device playback implementations.
• Own feature lifecycles from requirements to deployment in a run-it-yourself culture.
• Triage and resolve issues through collaboration with operations and creators.
• Use metrics to guide architecture decisions and release readiness.
• Communicate technical concepts clearly with stakeholders and product teams.
• Drive improvements and mentor mid-level engineers.
