Job summary

adidas Group in Melbourne seeks a high-impact FP&A professional to lead forecasting, budgeting and management reporting for Retail and Marketing Activation across the Pacific region. You will partner with senior stakeholders to translate financial insight into action and shape investment decisions.

This role combines strategic business partnering with hands-on analysis, including store performance reviews, business cases for new openings, and budgeting cycles.

Qualifications

• Degree in accounting/finance or related field.
• CPA or CA qualification.
• 5+ years in FP&A, commercial finance, or related roles.
• Experience translating complex data into actionable recommendations.

Responsibilities

• Act as FP&A partner to Retail, providing financial rigour and clear recommendations.
• Understand Retail strategy and its financial implications; support execution against targets.
• Analyze monthly store performance and identify trends for improvement.
• Prepare business cases for store openings and related financial requirements.
• Independently prepare monthly store bonus calculations within timelines.
• Prepare detailed Retail budgets and forecasts aligned with assumptions.
• Contribute to rolling forecasts and annual budget submissions to HQ.
• Support Marketing Activation budgeting and forecast monitoring.
• Provide financial guidance to non-financial stakeholders and translate data into actions.
• Consolidate and analyze total operating expenditure by cost centre and type; identify variances.
• Prepare accurate OPEX forecasts and reporting.
• Drive FP&A process improvements, exploring AI/automation tools.
• Act as deputy in FP&A team and assist Finance on ad hoc analyses.
