Job summary

AXR Recruitment & Search is seeking a Senior FP&A Manager to join the finance leadership team in Sydney. This hands-on leadership role oversees a team of five and partners with senior stakeholders to shape financial strategy, drive commercial decision-making and strengthen planning, forecasting and reporting.

You will own end-to-end P&L and build business cases for leases and new revenue streams, while running scenario analyses and leading a high-impact finance function.

Qualifications

• Strong FP&A track record in retail, covering stores and lease portfolio.
• End-to-end P&L ownership and budgeting/forecasting.
• Excellent stakeholder management with senior leaders.

Responsibilities

• Take end-to-end ownership of the P&L including budgeting, forecasting and financial planning.
• Own variance analysis and translate numbers into actionable leadership insights.
• Build business cases and models for major initiatives like leases and new revenue streams.
• Run scenario and sensitivity analyses to stress-test decisions.
• Partner with Senior Strategic Business Partners on risk analysis and mitigation.
• Drive improvements to reporting, forecasting and related tools/systems.
• Lead, coach and develop a team of 5.

A Senior FP&A Manager role joining the finance leadership team. This is a hands-on leadership role overseeing a team of 5, partnering closely with senior stakeholders across the business to shape financial strategy, drive commercial decision-making, and strengthen how the business plans, forecasts and reports.

What you'll be doing

• Taking end-to-end ownership of the P&L, including budgeting, forecasting and financial planning
• Owning variance analysis and turning the numbers into clear, actionable insight for leadership
• Building business cases and financial models for major initiatives — think new leases, third-party deals, or new revenue streams
• Running scenario and sensitivity analysis to stress-test key business decisions
• Partnering with Senior Strategic Business Partners on financial risk analysis and mitigation
• Driving improvements to reporting, forecasting and the tools/systems behind them
• Leading, coaching and developing a team of 5

What you'll bring

• CA/CPA qualified essential
• Strong experience in FP&A, within retail across stores and lease portfolio
• End-to-end P&L ownership experience is essential
• Experience managing revenue streams from tenants/leases
• Solid understanding of leasing models and their financial impact
• Comfortable operating across a portfolio of $500m+
• Excellent stakeholder management skills — you can influence and build trust with senior leaders
• Proven people leadership experience essential
