The Opportunity

An established private equity backed organisation is entering an important phase of growth, transformation and operational improvement. With a number of strategic initiatives underway, the business is strengthening its FP&A capability to provide greater visibility over performance, improve commercial decision-making and support its broader growth agenda.

This is a hands-on FP&A leadership role with significant exposure to senior stakeholders. You will take ownership of planning and forecasting while building more sophisticated modelling, reporting and commercial analysis across the organisation.

The broader position description also places significant emphasis on strategic modelling, business cases, commercial insights, business partnering, continuous improvement and supporting M&A activity.

The Role

You will work closely with senior leadership and take responsibility for improving the quality, consistency and commercial impact of FP&A.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Lead budgeting, forecasting and performance analysis across a complex, multi-entity environment.
  • Build sophisticated financial and scenario models to support strategic and investment decisions.
  • Develop and assess business cases for growth and investment opportunities.
  • Provide meaningful analysis around business performance, key drivers, risks and opportunities.
  • Partner with senior stakeholders to challenge assumptions and improve commercial outcomes.
  • Improve management reporting, dashboards and overall performance visibility.
  • Work closely with data and technology teams to reduce manual reporting and improve automation.
  • Support strategic projects including M&A, integration, growth initiatives and broader transformation.
  • Continue developing BI, reporting and FP&A frameworks.
  • Provide clear, commercially focused insights to senior leadership.
About You

This would suit an established FP&A or commercial finance professional who enjoys being close to the business and wants more than a traditional reporting role.

You will ideally bring:

  • Strong FP&A, commercial analysis and financial modelling experience.
  • Advanced Excel capability.
  • Experience building budgets, forecasts, financial models and business cases.
  • Strong business partnering skills with the confidence to engage and challenge senior stakeholders.
  • Exposure to BI, dashboards or reporting improvement.
  • The ability to operate autonomously in a fast-moving and evolving environment.
  • A commercial, pragmatic and outcomes-focused approach.
  • Experience in a complex, multi-entity, high-growth or private equity backed environment would be advantageous.
  • Exposure to M&A would also be highly regarded.
  • CA/CPA or equivalent professional qualification.
Why This Role?

This is a genuine opportunity to have an impact beyond the traditional FP&A remit.

You will join an organisation with a strong appetite for change, automation and better use of data, while gaining exposure to strategic decision-making, transformation and growth initiatives.

For someone ambitious, it offers the opportunity to build strong private equity experience and position themselves for broader commercial finance leadership roles longer term.
