Michael Page is seeking a Senior FP&A Analyst to deliver financial planning, forecasting and commercial analysis across the business. You will partner with senior finance leaders and operational stakeholders to provide insights that support profitability and strategic decision-making.

Key responsibilities include budgeting, rolling forecasts, revenue and margin analysis, and developing financial models for pricing and growth initiatives. Strong Excel and Power BI skills are preferred.

Qualifications

• CA/CPA qualifications or equivalent professional experience.
• Experience in FP&A, budgeting, forecasting and management reporting.
• Strong financial modelling and variance analysis capabilities.
• Experience with energy retail or utilities a plus.

Responsabilités

• Lead annual budgeting, rolling forecasts and long-term planning.
• Prepare monthly management reports with variance analysis.
• Analyse revenue, margins, and operating expenditure.
• Develop financial models to support pricing and profitability.
• Partner with commercial, pricing, operations and customer teams.
• Monitor KPIs: customer growth, churn, CAC, revenue per customer.
• Perform scenario and sensitivity analyses for energy demand and costs.
• Support business cases, commercial evaluations and growth initiatives.
• Prepare financial presentations for senior management.
• Drive continuous improvement in forecasting and reporting processes.

As Senior FP&A Analyst, you will play a key role in delivering financial planning, forecasting and commercial analysis across the business.

As Senior FP&A Analyst, you will play a key role in delivering financial planning, forecasting and commercial analysis across the business. Partnering closely with senior finance leaders and operational stakeholders, you will provide meaningful financial insights to support business performance, profitability and strategic decision-making.

Key responsibilities include:

• Leading annual budgeting, rolling forecasts and long-term financial planning processes across the business.
• Preparing monthly management reports, including detailed analysis of financial performance against budget and forecast.
• Analysing revenue, gross margins, customer consumption and operating expenditure to identify key business performance drivers.
• Developing financial models to support pricing decisions, customer profitability analysis and commercial initiatives.
• Partnering with commercial, pricing, operations and customer teams to provide financial insights and recommendations.
• Monitoring key performance indicators, including customer growth, churn, acquisition costs and revenue per customer.
• Undertaking scenario and sensitivity analysis relating to electricity demand, wholesale energy costs and pricing changes.
• Supporting business cases, commercial evaluations and strategic growth initiatives.
• Preparing financial presentations and recommendations for senior management.
• Driving continuous improvement in financial reporting, forecasting processes and analytical capabilities.

Profile

A successful Senior FP&A Analyst should have:

• CA/CPA qualifications or equivalent relevant professional experience.
• Demonstrated experience in FP&A, budgeting, forecasting and management reporting.
• Strong financial modelling, variance analysis and commercial analytical capabilities.
• Experience analysing revenue, profitability, margins and operational performance.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and business partnering skills.
• Advanced Excel skills, with experience in Power BI and financial planning systems highly regarded.
• The ability to communicate complex financial information clearly to senior stakeholders.
• Experience within energy retail, telecommunications, utilities, financial services or another customer-focused industry highly regarded.
• Exposure to energy pricing, customer profitability or wholesale electricity markets advantageous.
