Job summary

Akubra is an iconic Australian hat manufacturer based in Sydney. We seek an FP&A Analyst to support the CFO and Senior Leadership Team with decision support, delivering analysis, options and recommendations, and tracking value through to the P&L.

You will own month-end reporting, lead forecasts and budgeting, and provide CFO-level packs while driving FP&A process improvements and automation across a fast-moving retail and manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• 4-6+ years in FP&A, commercial analysis or management reporting.
• Strong budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis experience.
• Advanced Excel, PowerPoint and financial modelling skills.
• Strong commercial acumen and stakeholder management skills.
• Proactive, analytical and comfortable in a fast-moving environment.
• Manufacturing costing, production variances and inventory experience.
• Experience across retail, wholesale and e-commerce channels.
• Supply chain or procurement analysis exposure an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Own and deliver month-end management reporting

• Analyse revenue, COGS, OPEX and profit performance, and flag risks and opportunities
• Manage OPEX and CAPEX, and partner with business stakeholders on both
• Deliver supply chain value creation, procurement and product costing analysis
• Drive process, systems and automation improvements across FP&A

Working directly with the CFO, this role exists to enhance the Senior Leadership Team in decision support - bringing the analysis, the options and a recommendation, then tracking the value through to the P&L.

About you

This role is ideally suited to a high-performing FP&A Analyst, Commercial Analyst or Management Reporting Analyst looking to step into their first senior-level position and broaden their exposure to executive stakeholders and business partnering. Responsibilities include:
