Sedgman Pty Limited, a global EPC/EPCM leader in mineral processing, invites an experienced Principal Metallurgy Consultant to Brisbane on a hybrid basis. You will lead the process team and provide froth flotation expertise across multi-projects from concept to detailed design.

You will leverage laboratory mineralogy analysis and metallurgical testing to maximise recovery and energy efficiency, guiding flowsheet development and design decisions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Engineering (Chemical/ Metallurgy) required.
• Minimum 15 years’ experience in design/consultancy for chemical/metallurgy.
• Extensive base metals processing facilities and plant design experience.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Experience leading multi-discipline teams.
• Proficiency with process simulation tools such as MetSim, JKSimMet, IES.

Responsabilités

• Lead technical studies on flotation and value chain optimisation.
• Provide leadership in testwork programs and mineralogy interpretation.
• Lead flotation equipment sizing and flowsheet design.
• Drive technical strategy, quality, safety and innovation.
• Promote continuous improvement of standards and tools for the mechanical engineering discipline.
• Coordinate project allocations to match requirements and skills.
• Provide coaching and mentoring to the team.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and uphold Sedgman values.
