Job summary

Stantec Australia is seeking a Fire Protection Technical Leader to join our Fire Protection Engineering team in Australia.

You will lead and collaborate across disciplines on iconic projects, overseeing from concept to commissioning and building strong client relationships. The role focuses on dry/wet fire systems, detection, and suppression with opportunities to guide senior engineers and contribute to national strategy.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years' Fire Protection consulting experience within the Building Services industry.
• Degree qualified, chartered (CPEng), NER listed and FPAS references.
• Professional Engineer registration (e.g. RPEQ) or eligibility.
• Experience planning and managing successful projects.
• Strong Technical knowledge of the NCC and Australian Standards.

Responsibilities

• Plan and manage projects from initial concept through installation and commissioning.
• Provide technical oversight to ensure successful project delivery.
• Represent Stantec to clients and manage relationships.
• Prepare and present drawings and calculations and reports for clients.
• Delegate tasks to senior and junior engineers and assist their development.
• Attend project meetings and liaise with architects, contractors and authorities.
• Contribute to national Fire Protection Team strategy and standards.
