Job summary

Aon is seeking a Placement Director for the Financial Services Group (Global & Corporate) in Sydney. You will be a senior broker and technical resource for major corporate clients, guiding placement strategy and leveraging Aon’s global network.

Based in New South Wales, you will lead a team of Placement Managers and Executives, negotiate with underwriters, and deliver optimized risk transfer solutions across diverse industries.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in Financial Lines insurance market.
• Proven success structuring D&O and PI programs.
• Strong leadership of senior-level client relationships.
• Able to shape placement strategy for large corporates.
• Excellent negotiation with underwriters and markets.

Responsibilities

• Provide Financial Lines technical advice and placement guidance to NSW clients.
• Lead, manage and mentor Placement Managers and Executives.
• Coordinate the broader placement team for cohesive risk transfer strategies.
• Negotiate with underwriters and carrier partners for optimal terms.
• Develop market engagement strategies and strong market relationships.
• Refine policy structures and wordings for emerging Financial Lines risks.
• Share insights using data analytics to inform decisions.
