Job summary

Marsh in Adelaide is seeking a talented professional to join our FINPRO practice team. This hybrid role requires you to work in the office at least three days per week and to nurture strong relationships with key client decision makers.

You will manage a large portfolio, deliver technical and consulting support to clients, and stay current on financial lines products and relevant legislation to protect clients and drive retention.

Qualifications

• Tier 1 qualified.
• Experience in insurance broking or underwriting.
• Experience managing a large portfolio with volume of accounts.
• Experience looking after commercial and corporate accounts.
• Strong commercial acumen.
• Excellent delivery of technical, administrative, and consulting support to internal and external clients.

Responsibilities

• Consistently achieve agreed service standards.
• Foster effective long-term relationships with key client decision makers and frequently monitor political, management, and other changes to preserve and protect these relationships.
• Take a pro‑active approach to all aspects of account management and service delivery to clients, ensuring client needs are identified and met.
• Implement successful account retention and defence strategies.
• Maintain an awareness of all large and potentially complicated claim‑related matters and assist claims colleagues in the negotiation of equitable claim settlements on behalf of clients.
• Possess a thorough understanding of all major classes of financial lines policies offered to clients and keep abreast of all new technical and product developments.
• Possess a thorough working knowledge of all aspects of the Insurance (Agents & Brokers) Act, Insurance Contracts Act, Fire Services Levy, Stamp Duties, Worker's Compensation, and other relevant legislation, keeping abreast of all new developments.
