Job summary

Qantas is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst within the Inflight Experience Finance team to partner with operational leaders and deliver high-quality financial reporting and insights. You will manage month-end processes, forecasting and budgeting across the Dining & Hospitality portfolio, and coach a Financial Analyst.

Qualifications

• CA or CPA qualification.
• Experience in management accounting, financial analysis, commercial finance or business partnering roles.
• Strong month-end close, reconciliation and financial reporting experience.
• Experience preparing budgets, forecasts and management reports within a large or complex organisation.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate financial information into meaningful commercial insights.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills and the ability to build effective working relationships across Finance and operational teams.
• Exposure to Power BI, Alteryx or other reporting and analytics tools will be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Leading month-end close activities, including journals, accruals, reconciliations and financial reporting.
• Delivering accurate forecasting, budgeting and planning activities across the portfolio.
• Providing insightful variance analysis and identifying key risks, opportunities and business drivers.
• Partnering with operational stakeholders to support informed commercial and financial decision-making.
• Supporting half-year and year-end reporting requirements and maintaining a strong financial control environment.
• Preparing financial models and ad hoc analysis to support business initiatives.
• Driving process improvement opportunities and supporting finance-related system implementation activities.
• Managing, coaching and developing a Financial Analyst while fostering a collaborative and high-performing team culture.
• Balancing routine reporting requirements with a diverse range of stakeholder requests and business priorities.
