Job summary

NRMA Insurance, part of Insurance Australia Group (IAG), seeks a Senior Financial Analyst to partner with CTP and subsidiary businesses, driving strategic financial insights and performance. You will move beyond reporting to influence decisions with robust analysis and commercially-focused recommendations.

This 12-month max-term contract role supports forecasting, planning and performance management with strong stakeholder engagement across multiple portfolios.

Qualifications

  • 4+ years' experience in finance, commercial analysis, business partnering or performance management.
  • Insurance industry experience, or transferable experience in a complex commercial environment.
  • Ability to turn financial data into practical business insights and recommendations.
  • Confidence building relationships and influencing stakeholders across different levels of an organisation.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with Finance, Product, Claims, Actuarial and business leaders to provide financial insights that support strategic and operational decision-making.
  • Deliver meaningful analysis and commentary on portfolio performance, profitability drivers, claims outcomes, expenses and emerging trends.
  • Support forecasting, planning and performance management activities through robust financial analysis and commercial recommendations.
  • Translate complex financial information into clear insights that help stakeholders understand risks, opportunities and business impacts.
  • Manage reporting and performance activities across both the CTP portfolio and subsidiary businesses with independent P&Ls.
  • Identify opportunities to improve reporting, processes and ways of working while contributing to a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Build trusted relationships across the business and influence outcomes through strong business partnering and commercial acumen.

What You'll Do

What You'll Bring
  • 4+ years' experience in finance, commercial analysis, business partnering or performance management.
  • Insurance industry experience, or transferable experience in a complex commercial environment.

  • A curious mindset with strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach.
  • Experience balancing multiple priorities while working independently and collaboratively.
  • Relevant qualifications in finance, accounting, economics or a related discipline.
