Job summary

IAG in Australia is seeking an AI Product Lead to champion the Claims AI transformation. You will lead a cross-functional squad, delivering practical AI solutions that improve claims operations and create real business value for customers.

The role suits someone with hands-on AI experience and leadership capability, comfortable at the intersection of business and technology to drive tangible outcomes. Permanent full-time roles across multiple Australian cities are available.

Responsibilities

• Lead a cross functional squad to deliver AI initiatives that create measurable business value and enhance customer outcomes.
• Own priorities, scope and delivery outcomes, ensuring initiatives move from discovery through to implementation.
• Work with business stakeholders and SMEs to identify opportunities, shape AI solutions and guide initiatives from concept to delivery.
• Guide engineers and technology teams, providing technical leadership and support throughout the delivery lifecycle.
• Coordinate squad resources, manage risks and dependencies, and maintain transparency on progress and outcomes.
• Foster a collaborative, high performing team environment that encourages continuous improvement and agile ways of working.

As an AI Product Lead, you'll lead a cross functional squad delivering practical AI solutions that improve how Claims operates. You'll work directly with Claims leaders, subject matter experts and technology teams, helping solve real business challenges and turning opportunities into AI solutions that deliver meaningful impact.

This role is ideal for someone who combines hands on AI experience with leadership capability and enjoys working at the intersection of business and technology to deliver real outcomes.

This is a permanent full-time role based in Gadigal Country (Darling Park 2, Sydney), Naarm (Melbourne) or Meanjin (Brisbane).

What You'll Do

• Lead a cross functional squad to deliver AI initiatives that create measurable business value and enhance customer outcomes.
• Own priorities, scope and delivery outcomes, ensuring initiatives move effectively from discovery through to implementation.
• Work alongside business stakeholders and subject matter experts to identify opportunities, shape AI solutions and guide initiatives from concept through to delivery.
• Guide engineers and technology teams, providing technical leadership and support throughout the delivery lifecycle.
• Coordinate squad resources, manage risks and dependencies, and maintain transparency on progress and outcomes.
• Foster a collaborative, high performing team environment that encourages continuous improvement and agile ways of working.

What You'll Bring

• Experience delivering AI solutions into production environments and achieving business outcomes.
• Strong understanding of AI development, engineering practices and solution delivery.
• Ability to lead diverse teams and influence stakeholders across complex organisations.
• Experience managing large scale technology programs or transformation initiatives.
• Confidence working through ambiguity, balancing competing priorities and solving complex challenges.
• Experience in insurance, banking, consulting or another regulated industry is welcome but not essential.
