Job summary

TwoScots Recruitment has partnered with one of Australia’s premier premium retailers to identify a Senior Financial Accountant. Based in Richmond, you’ll own inventory accounting, monthly reporting, audits and finance projects, while leading a small team in a high‑impact, collaborative finance function.

This role suits a CA/CPA with 6+ years’ accounting experience, strong IFRS/AASB knowledge, and proven leadership.

Qualifications

• CA/CPA qualification is required and preferred; strong financial accounting and technical reporting experience.
• 6+ years of accounting experience, including audit and/or senior accounting roles.
• Strong inventory accounting experience in a retail, FMCG or inventory-heavy environment.
• Solid knowledge of AASB/IFRS, balance sheet governance and external audit requirements.
• Demonstrated leadership and stakeholder management skills with advanced Excel and ERP exposure.

Responsibilities

• Own inventory accounting, valuation, landed costs, provisioning and related balance sheet controls.
• Lead key financial reporting activities, including month-end close, reconciliations and statutory reporting.
• Act as finance lead for external audits, ensuring documentation and audit readiness.
• Partner with Retail, Supply Chain, Commercial and Sustainability teams on reporting and initiatives.
• Lead and develop a small team and drive finance projects, systems improvements and process optimisation.
