Job summary

Columbia Aged Care is seeking an ambitious, tech-savvy Financial Accountant to take true ownership of our daily finance functions and strengthen our financial operations.

Reporting to the CFO, you will lead month-end closures, ensure robust controls and partner with government agencies and residents’ families with empathy. A CPA/CA and 5+ years in aged care, Epicor ERP experience, and Google Workspace proficiency are highly valued.

Qualifications

• CPA or CA qualification.
• 5+ years as financial accountant in aged care.
• Experience with Epicor ERP.
• Strong Google Workspace competence.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with government agencies and families.
• Proactive, autonomous ownership mindset.
• Strong attention to detail and accurate reporting.

Responsibilities

• Lead timely month-end closures and maintain accurate financial records.
• Perform balance sheet reconciliations and monitor cash flow.
• Oversee resident contracts ensuring compliance and prompt execution.
• Partner with external stakeholders such as ATO and Services Australia.
• Support CFO with ad hoc analyses, reconciliations and reporting.
