Job summary

Gough Recruitment is seeking a Chartered Accountant/CPA qualified financial professional to lead key group reporting for a diversified asset/portfolio. You will own month-end, consolidation and statutory reporting while collaborating with senior stakeholders to deliver insightful financial analysis.

Qualifications

• CA or CPA qualified with 1–2 years post-qualification experience.
• Strong background in financial accounting within a corporate/group environment.
• Experience in group consolidations, statutory reporting and financial analysis.
• Solid understanding of Australian Accounting Standards and IFRS.
• Exposure to financial services, investment management or listed organisations is highly regarded.
• Advanced Excel skills and confidence working with financial systems.
• Commercially minded, ambitious and eager to develop your career.
• Excellent communication skills and confidence engaging with senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of key month-end, quarter-end and year-end reporting processes.
• Prepare group consolidations, statutory accounts and management reporting.
• Support multiple business divisions across a diverse portfolio.
• Assist with acquisitions, disposals, restructures and financing transactions.
• Partner with senior stakeholders to deliver meaningful financial insights.
• Manage balance sheet reconciliations and intercompany accounting.
• Coordinate external audits and support tax and regulatory compliance.
• Gain exposure to treasury, debt reporting, cash flow and forecasting.
• Drive improvements across financial systems, processes and internal controls.
