Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, or a related field.
• CA, CPA (Australia), CIMA, or equivalent professional qualification preferred.
• 5–10+ years’ experience in progressively responsible finance or accounting roles.
• Strong understanding of financial reporting and compliance requirements.
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and management reporting.
• Advanced Excel skills; ERP experience (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, TechnologyOne, etc.).
• Strong communication skills and stakeholder engagement capability.
• Leadership potential and readiness for senior responsibility.

Responsibilities

• Preparation and review of monthly management accounts and financial reports.
• Budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning.
• Financial analysis, variance analysis, and performance reporting.
• Management of general ledger, balance sheet reconciliations, and month-end close.
• Supporting commercial and strategic decision-making.
• Ensuring compliance with Australian Accounting Standards (AASB/IFRS).
• Liaising with auditors, tax advisors, and internal stakeholders.
• Improving financial processes, controls, and reporting efficiency.
• Mentoring or managing junior finance team members.
