Job summary

nbn® Australia is seeking a Senior Field Technician based in Emerald to join our field service team. You’ll work across copper and fibre networks, performing installation, fault finding, maintenance, and end-to-end service for homes and businesses, and you’ll deliver brilliant customer service with integrity and pace.

You’ll be autonomous, motivated, and capable of meeting tight deadlines while collaborating with a supportive team.

Qualifications

• ACMA license preferred with Cert 3 or Cert 4 in telecommunications.
• Current Driver’s License required.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Willingness to travel to sites and work across copper and fibre networks.

Responsibilities

• Deliver end-to-end service to homes and businesses, from installation to repair and maintenance.
• Troubleshoot and fault-find on copper and fibre networks.
• Collaborate with a field service team to ensure timely, high-quality customer outcomes.
• Operate autonomously while meeting tight deadlines and safety standards.

A bit about your role

As part of a field service team, you’ll discover a diverse and dynamic workplace where no two days are alike. In your day to day work you’ll be the backbone that keeps Australia connected, delivering end-to-end service to homes and businesses across the nation. From installation to repair and maintenance, you’ll see the impact of your work in real time with every satisfied customer. You’ll collaborate with a supportive and inclusive team, with opportunities for coaching, mentorship and career progression at every step.

A bit about you

To thrive in this role, you’ll be an autonomous and motivated self-starter, with extensive experience with copper and fibre network assurance fault finding and installs. You’ll have an appetite to embrace a complex industry while learning and developing on the job. Ideal candidates for this role will have an ACMA license preferably with a cert 3 or cert 4 in telecommunications and draw on their dedication, drive, and customer service skills to deliver service with integrity and solutions with a smile every day.
