Job summary

Bechtel is seeking a seasoned Cost Engineer/Planner to provide non-routine cost engineering, planning and scheduling for the Eva Copper Mine Project in Cloncurry, QLD. The role involves coordinating cross-functional inputs, analyzing schedules, estimating durations, and delivering training sessions to ensure seamless execution.

You will establish stakeholder relationships, monitor performance, and deliver robust scheduling outputs across EPC scope, with a 2:1 FIFO roster on site in remote

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 10-13 years relevant experience in project planning/scheduling.
• Proficient in Primavera P6 and Microsoft Office.
• Experience with Earned Value Management systems and project controls.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate scheduling and planning inputs from all functions to ensure a robust schedule.
• Set up and maintain quantity tracking metrics to meet schedule requirements.
• Integrate interdisciplinary schedule requirements and constraints for logical work sequences.
• Determine activity durations with contractors within disciplines.
• Develop commodity release and installation curves as applicable.
• Review schedule data and identify information needed for work logic interfaces.
• Identify critical path items and their impact on the schedule.
• Develop and monitor 3-week lookahead schedules and monthly/quarterly reports.
• Monitor schedule deviations and recommend corrective actions.
• Prepare and write monthly schedule commentary for reports.
• Identify activities with critical or potential schedule impact and report via Schedule Impact Reports.
