Job summary

Royal Rehab LifeWorks in Cairns, Australia, seeks an experienced Senior Exercise Physiologist to deliver high-quality, evidence-based exercise physiology services across rehabilitation and musculoskeletal programs.

The role provides clinical leadership, complex assessments, and exercise prescription, with mentoring of junior clinicians and participation in service improvement and education within Lifeworks.

Qualifications

• Degree-qualified Exercise Physiologist.
• Current ESSA Accredited Exercise Physiologist (AEP) status.
• Demonstrated clinical experience in rehabilitation.
• Strong communication, clinical reasoning and multidisciplinary skills.
• Experience providing supervision/mentoring or clinical leadership.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality Exercise Physiology assessment and intervention.
• Manage complex rehabilitation caseloads, including neurological and disability related conditions.
• Provide clinical guidance, supervision and mentoring to EP staff.
• Work collaboratively within multidisciplinary rehabilitation teams.
• Contribute to quality improvement, clinical education and service development.
• Support best practice, person centred rehabilitation outcomes.
