Achieve Exercise Physiologists in Townsville, QLD, seeks a Clinical Exercise Physiologist to deliver evidence-based exercise interventions and rehabilitation. The full-time role focuses on tailored programs, assessments, and behaviour change support to improve client health outcomes.

Responsibilities include testing, designing individualised plans, and coordinating with other healthcare professionals while maintaining accurate records and staying current with best practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Exercise Physiology or related discipline.
• Registered or eligible for ESSA Accredited Exercise Physiologist.
• Knowledge of exercise prescription, biomechanics, and physiology for rehabilitation and chronic disease.
• Experience with diverse client populations including chronic conditions and post-injury rehab.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to motivate and educate clients.
• Proficiency with clinical exercise equipment and assessment tools.
• Excellent organization and time management; ability to manage multiple clients and records.
• Commitment to evidence-based practice and ongoing professional development.
• Current First Aid and CPR certification.
• Desirable: prior clinical, hospital, or private practice experience.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive fitness assessments and exercise testing.
• Design and implement individualized exercise programmes.
• Deliver exercise instruction with correct technique and intensity.
• Monitor progress and adjust programmes as needed.
• Provide education and behaviour change counselling.
• Collaborate with physiotherapists, GPs, and allied health professionals.
