Job summary

Clayton Utz is seeking an Events Adviser to own end-to-end events across the national portfolio, from initial brief through delivery and follow-up. You will work with Partners, lawyers and teams to shape audience, format and experience, while ensuring budgets and timelines are tightly managed.

The role embraces new tech like HubSpot and data-driven insights to improve outcomes, with a hands-on, flexible approach and strong client-facing skills.

Qualifications

• Experience of around four years or more in corporate events, ideally in professional services or a similar complex environment.
• Strong judgement to distinguish what is asked from what is needed.
• Hands-on contributions with guidance when needed.
• Confident working with senior stakeholders and building trust quickly.
• Good organisation, commercial awareness, and ability to manage multiple events and budgets.

Responsibilities

• Own events from first conversation through planning, delivery and follow-up.
• Shape the approach with Partners and teams to determine audience, format and experience.
• Suggest innovative formats, venues or approaches to improve results.
• Manage event plans, run sheets, invitations, registrations and internal coordination.
• Source venues and suppliers, negotiate contracts and keep spend on track.
• Lead on the day and handle last-minute changes calmly.
• Develop sponsorships and external partnerships supporting firm events.
• Leverage HubSpot, event tech and data to improve future events.
• Contribute to broader Clients and Markets projects and business development.
• Support the Events team as workloads demand.
