Job summary

CSK Nexus is hiring a data engineer to design and operate data pipelines and models supporting reporting, analytics, and Tableau visualisations. You will apply expert SQL (Redshift) and Python to build scalable ETL processes across multiple data sources, including SAP CRM/Billing integrations.

Work is in a hybrid model based in Melbourne, Australia, requiring collaboration with business stakeholders and IT teams to deliver reliable data solutions in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years in data & analytics.
• Experience with ETL tools (Matillion, AWS Glue, SSIS).
• Strong Python for automation.
• Experience with Redshift, SQL Server, PostgreSQL.
• Knowledge of data warehousing and dimensional modelling.
• Experience documenting data models and ETL processes.
• Exposure to SAP CRM or Billing is a plus.
• Australian/NZ citizen or permanent residency preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and test data transformation jobs.
• Develop ETL loading patterns (near real-time, batch, historical, incremental).
• Write complex SQL queries to manage data feeds.
• Develop Python scripts for ETL orchestration.
• Design and support large-scale data pipelines (batch, incremental, near real-time).
• Identify efficiencies and optimise data transformation practices.
• Document designs, specifications, requirements and test plans.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate requirements into specs.
• Validate data accuracy and end-to-end pipeline reliability.
• Integrate AI/automation to enhance ETL workflows.
