Job summary

APA Group is seeking a Senior Estimator to join the Infrastructure Development team on a full-time basis. You will develop and deliver capital estimates for major power, renewable, or gas projects, reporting to the Head of Estimating.

You will lead risk reviews, maintain cost databases, and provide expert guidance to project managers throughout the development and tender stages, ensuring accuracy and value in all costing activities.

Qualifications

• Significant experience delivering capital estimates for large-scale infrastructure projects.
• Ability to develop detailed cost estimates from drawings, specifications, and scope.
• Experience reviewing estimates across development, business case, and tender stages.
• Strong commercial and financial acumen including risk and contingencies.
• Knowledge of estimating methodologies and industry standards (AACE or equivalent).

Responsibilities

• Provide detailed capital estimates based on scopes and programs.
• Advise project managers on staffing and requirements for new projects.
• Maintain supplier and subcontractor cost databases for best-value pricing.
• Lead risk reviews to quantify contingencies and mitigations.
• Collaborate with teams to ensure accurate costing and delivery.
