Job summary

McMahon Services is seeking a Senior Estimator in Adelaide to lead the estimation & tender process for major commercial/industrial projects. You will supervise the estimation team, coordinate with subcontractors, and drive competitive bids aligned with safety and quality standards.

Ideal candidates bring 5+ years of large project estimation experience, CostX proficiency, and strong leadership and communication skills to foster client relationships and project success.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in large construction project estimation and on construction sites.
• Expert in estimation systems (e.g., CostX) and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Leadership & mentoring: ability to lead estimation teams.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; build client/stakeholder relationships.
• Adaptability and compliance with Australian Standards/HSE legislation.

Responsibilities

• Lead estimation and tender preparation for large projects.
• Manage subcontractors and suppliers; RFQ processes.
• Innovate and improve bid strategies through past project analysis.
• Mentor and supervise the estimation team.
• Engage with clients and internal stakeholders to secure bids.
• Ensure estimation work aligns with safety and quality standards.
