Job summary

Davies Ross Consulting Pty Ltd in Sydney is seeking a Senior Estimator to join their team in the Inner South/ Mascot area for insurance repairs and remedial projects. You will lead pricing, cost planning, and tendering, working with delivery teams to ensure commercial viability.

The role involves site visits, reviewing drawings, and collaborating with subcontractors to secure accurate estimates up to $10 million.

Qualifications

Must have strong estimating experience within the Australian construction industry.
Exposure to insurance repairs, remedial works, refurbishment or similar projects.
Strong Cubit experience.
Excellent subcontractor and supplier relationships.
Solid understanding of how projects are built.

Responsibilities

Prepare detailed estimates and cost plans.
Review drawings and write scopes of works for Sub contractors; issue tender docs.
Complete take-offs using Cubit.
Obtain and assess subcontractor and supplier quotations.
Build and maintain relationships with subcontractors.
Attend site inspections as required.
Identify risks, scope gaps and variations.
Work with Project Managers and site teams.
Provide accurate pricing and commercial input before start.
Communicate with subcontractors, consultants and internal stakeholders.
Assist procurement and handover from estimating to delivery.
