Job summary

WSP Global Inc. in Melbourne, Australia seeks a Technical Executive for Essential Safety Measures (ESM). The role is based in Melbourne or Sydney and focuses on technical leadership, growth, and client engagement within national projects.

You will lead ESM services, optimise delivery workflows, and drive portfolio-scale work while mentoring teams and maintaining strong safety compliance knowledge.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Building Surveying, Engineering, or equivalent.
• Typically 15+ years of relevant industry experience.
• Demonstrated technical leadership in ESM consulting.
• Proven business development and client relationship management success.
• Strong knowledge of legislation, codes and standards relating to fire safety compliance.
• Experience managing multiple projects and mentoring others. Current Australian Driver's Licence.

Responsibilities

• Lead and drive growth in WSP's ESM consulting services and practices.
• Establish, implement and continuously optimise systems, digital tools and workflows that improve ESM service delivery.
• Prepare tenders, bids and proposals and secure portfolio-scale programs of work.
• Represent WSP as a recognised technical leader in ESM services.
• Develop, maintain and grow key client relationships and project portfolios.
• Coach and mentor team members.
• Lead site inspections and assessments of Essential Safety Measures.
• Witness and assess Systems Interface Testing (SIT).
• Provide technical advice, reports and quality assurance reviews.
