NSW Health’s NCIRS Westmead site seeks a Senior Research Officer in Epidemiology and Evaluation to support vaccine safety and paediatric surveillance. You will analyse data, prepare reports, and contribute to public health decision-making.

Working with epidemiologists and clinicians, you will help improve surveillance systems and perform research across vaccine preventable diseases, leveraging SAS/SPSS/STATA/NVivo as needed.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or higher in a health-related discipline is desirable with relevant public health research experience.
• Demonstrated ability to produce high-quality technical reports and scientific writing.
• Strong organisational, time management and communication skills.
• Experience with epidemiological surveillance and data analysis is preferred.

Responsabilités

• Perform epidemiological surveillance, data management and reporting to support public health priorities.
• Prepare surveillance reports, publications and presentations for policy and practice.
• Collaborate with epidemiologists, researchers, clinicians and external stakeholders.
• Contribute to surveillance system improvements and methodological development.
