Job summary

EHS Support, LLC is seeking a Senior or Principal Environmental Scientist, Contaminated Sites, to join the WA Contaminated Sites Team. The role offers remote work from Western Australia and focuses on leading complex projects for major facilities.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualifications in Environmental Science/Engineering, Hydrogeology or Geology.
• 8+ years’ experience in contaminated land and remediation projects.
• Experience in contaminated land assessments with exposure to a wide range of environmental and engineering situations.
• Site supervision experience and managing investigations including soil and groundwater sampling.
• Strong report writing, communication and project management skills.
• Commitment to safety and environmental responsibility.
• Knowledge of WA environmental legislation and NEPM.
• Attention to detail and pragmatic interpretation of legislation and technical data.

Responsibilities

• Undertaking preliminary and detailed contaminated land assessments, preparing PSI and DSI Assessment Reports, site management plans and remediation action plans.
• Initiation, planning, leading and executing complex contaminated land/waste projects, including soil, vapour, surface water, wastewater and groundwater assessments.
• Providing mentoring and technical oversight to the contaminated land/waste team.
• Engaging with clients and other disciplinary teams to determine innovative solutions to complex environmental problems.
