Job summary

Fosterville Gold Mine, part of Agnico Eagle, is seeking a Senior Environmental Advisor (Monitoring & Compliance) to lead environmental monitoring, compliance and reporting across the site in Central Victoria. This residential role offers the advantages of working for a global mining company while living locally near Bendigo.

You will report to the Environment and Community Manager and oversee data collection, regulatory reporting, audits and continuous improvement, while mentoring environmental

Qualifications

• Degree in Environmental Science or a related discipline.
• Experience in environmental management within mining, resources, infrastructure or another regulated industry.
• Strong knowledge of environmental monitoring, compliance and environmental risk management.
• Experience in technical reporting, data analysis and database management.
• Well-developed leadership, stakeholder engagement and contractor management skills.
• A current manual driver's licence.
• Environmental auditing and compliance training (desirable).
• Previous mining industry experience (desirable).
• Experience leading or supervising environmental professionals (desirable).

Responsibilities

• Coordinate environmental monitoring programs, including water, noise, air quality, vibration and vegetation monitoring.
• Manage environmental data collection, analysis, reporting and compliance tracking.
• Provide environmental advice and support to operational, project and exploration teams.
• Assist with environmental approvals, audits, regulatory inspections and statutory reporting.
• Support environmental incident investigations, risk management and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Supervise and mentor environmental team members while coordinating environmental contractors.
