Job summary

Sundstrom Recruitment is supporting a well-established gold mining company in Western Australia to appoint a Senior Environmental Advisor. This site-based role operates on a 2:2 roster and is a permanent, full-time position.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in a site-based mining environment
• Strong knowledge of WA mining-related environmental legislation
• Tertiary qualification in Environmental Science or related field; valid C-class driver's licence

Responsibilities

• Maintain ongoing environmental compliance with legislation and internal standards
• Prepare and update statutory environmental documentation; investigate incidents and drive corrective actions
• Manage monitoring obligations tied to licences, approvals and closure plans
• Coordinate collection, analysis and reporting of environmental data for approvals and audits
• Act as main contact for regulators and support internal/external audits
• Maintain and continuously improve the site's Environmental Management System
• Mentor and develop junior environmental team members
