Job summary

CPB Contractors is recruiting a Senior Environmental Advisor to join our project delivery team on a major infrastructure project. The role is site-based in Brisbane initially, with transfer to the ongoing project as it progresses.

The Project

CPB is working on a large infrastructure project as part of building Queensland’s future. We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Environmental Advisor to join our project delivery team on a project based in initially Brisbane until you transfer on to the project.

As a Senior Environmental Advisor, you’ll work closely with the project and construction teams to manage environmental compliance, identify and mitigate environmental risks, and ensure the project is delivered in line with regulatory and project requirements. This is a hands‑on site‑based role suited to an experienced environmental professional who enjoys working closely with construction teams and having a genuine impact on environmental performance across a major infrastructure project.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide environmental advice and support across site operations and construction activities.
• Monitor environmental compliance against project requirements, legislation, approvals and environmental management plans.
• Conduct site inspections, audits and environmental risk assessments, identifying issues and implementing corrective actions.
• Manage environmental incidents, investigations, reporting and ongoing monitoring across the project.
• Work closely with project leadership, engineers, subcontractors and site teams to drive strong environmental performance and continuous improvement.
• 5+ years' experience in an Environmental Advisor role within major construction or infrastructure projects.
• Relevant environmental qualification with strong knowledge of NSW environmental legislation and regulatory requirements.
• Experience across major infrastructure, rail, tunnelling or civil construction projects.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work confidently with site teams, subcontractors and senior project leadership.
