Job summary

Macquarie Group is seeking a Senior Engineer (Entra ID SME) to lead the authentication platforms with a focus on Entra ID, hybrid identity, and secure application authentication.

You will work hands-on with application teams, security, and platform partners to design, implement, and operate enterprise-grade identity solutions. This role requires deep technical depth and strong operational judgement.

Qualifications

• Extensive, hands-on Entra ID (Azure AD) experience in enterprise environments.
• Strong design & troubleshooting skills for Conditional Access.
• Deep knowledge of SSO and modern auth protocols (SAML 2.0, OAuth 2.0, OIDC).
• Experience implementing MFA at scale.
• Knowledge of Active Directory and hybrid identity scenarios.
• PowerShell scripting and identity automation experience.
• Experience with Microsoft Graph / Entra APIs for automation.
• Experience with identity monitoring via Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Sentinel, or Splunk.
• Ability to analyze authentication logs, tokens and sign-in telemetry to diagnose issues.
• Proven ability to own critical authentication services in production environments.
