Job summary

The University of Melbourne is seeking a Faculty risk expert to lead enterprise risk, compliance and business continuity across MDHS as the Faculty’s expert advisor. You will shape practical frameworks, uplift risk capability, and support informed decision making for diverse stakeholders, while enjoying autonomy within a new, integrated team across complex clinical and academic environments.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience in enterprise risk management within large, complex organisations.
• Demonstrated understanding of ISO 31000 Risk Management Standard and related frameworks.
• Translate policy and governance requirements into user-focused processes and tools.
• Experience supporting organisational risk governance, risk reporting and assurance activities.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement skills across diverse groups.
• Ability to manage competing priorities in a matrix environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead implementation and continuous improvement of MDHS risk, compliance and business continuity frameworks.
• Support Schools and teams to identify, assess, treat and monitor diverse risks including strategic, operational and partnerships.
• Develop risk registers, reporting and insights using ERMS to inform MDHS leadership and governance forums.
• Build stakeholder relationships and drive engagement, training and communication on risk and compliance.
• Identify and deliver continuous improvement initiatives to simplify processes and integrate risk with planning and performance.
