Job summary

XPT Software Australia is seeking an Enterprise / Platform Architect to lead the architecture of insurance platforms in Sydney. You will oversee current/future state architectures, roadmaps, and governance to ensure alignment with enterprise strategy.

The role requires deep experience in IT architecture, extensive exposure to insurance/government sectors, and strong stakeholder engagement to drive platform outcomes and technology selection across the portfolio.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 15 years of experience in IT sector.
• Minimum 8 years of architecture experience, ideally within the Insurance, Financial Services, and/or Government sector.
• Strong technical knowledge and understanding of platform/domain concepts.
• Broad experience in developing IT reference architectures and strategic roadmaps.
• Experience developing strategic roadmaps and technology reference architectures.
• Demonstrated experience in developing and communicating technical standards, policies, and guidelines.
• Broad experience in a wide range of information system technologies and technical architectures.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and develop platform architecture artefacts including current & future state, roadmap, patterns, blueprints.
• Lead horizon scanning to identify trends and policy priorities.
• Engage frontline users to uplift user experience.
• Collaborate with ICT teams to support enterprise architecture strategy.
• Lead development of architecture heatmaps and solution designs across platforms.
• Provide architectural direction to development teams and governance participation.
• Research, evaluate, test, and implement hardware and software systems.
