Job summary

XPT Software Australia Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Enterprise/Platform Architect to lead the design and governance of insurance-related platforms in NSW. The role requires shaping platform strategies, reference architectures, and roadmaps aligned with business priorities.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, engage frontline users, and drive the adoption of architectural practices across the organization to deliver robust, scalable solutions.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of experience in the IT sector.
• 8+ years of architecture experience, ideally within Insurance/Financial Services and/or Government.
• Strong knowledge of platform/domain concepts.
• Experience developing IT reference architectures and strategic roadmaps.
• Experience developing and communicating technical standards, policies, and guidelines.
• Broad experience across a wide range of information system technologies and architectures.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and develop the platform architecture artefacts, including current state, future state, roadmap, patterns, blueprints, and health of the domain landscape.
• Undertake horizon scanning and analysis to identify future trends and enterprise requirements.
• Engage frontline users to understand and uplift user experience.
• Collaborate with icare technology practice to drive knowledge sharing and solutions.
• Lead architecture heatmaps, conceptual designs, and solution designs with other architects.
• Provide architectural direction to development teams and monitor progress against strategy.
• Research, evaluate, and implement hardware and software systems with internal and external providers.
• Ensure alignment of delivered solutions with reference architectures and IT strategies.
• Participate in architectural governance forums and technology selection processes.
• Provide expert advice on strategic platforms and IT governance.
• Align technology vision with business strategy and organizational priorities.
