Job summary

Arkeus in Australia is seeking a Software Engineering Manager, Embedded and Integrated Systems to lead our software engineering function as we scale. You will oversee teams working on real-time AI at the edge, integrating with sensing hardware and autonomous systems.

You will drive architecture decisions, establish release and configuration practices, and collaborate with Hardware, AI/ML, and Product teams to bring robust software capabilities to production.

Qualifications

• Senior-level leadership experience in software engineering teams.
• Experience designing software for embedded hardware and hardware-software integration.
• Proven ability to drive architecture, development, testing, and deployment discussions.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a high-performing software engineering function with multiple Team Leads reporting to you.
• Set software engineering standards across architecture, development, testing, integration and deployment.
• Provide technical leadership on software architecture and design decisions.
• Partner with Hardware and Systems Engineering to develop integrated products.
• Oversee staged releases, testing, and production validation across multi-disciplinary teams.
