Job summary

Laing O’Rourke is seeking an Engineering Leader to join our AUKUS team in Osborne, SA. You will partner with project and functional leaders, lead integrated technical solutions, and act as the technical authority across civil, structural, and related disciplines.

The role involves driving technical reviews and value engineering to deliver Australia’s Defence infrastructure programs. You must have a minimum of 15 years in major projects, a technical engineering degree, and Australian citizenship

Qualifications

• Minimum 15 years of experience with at least 5 years in site delivery of major projects.
• Degree in a technical base subject (engineering preferred).
• Experience in civils, structures, or rail systems (MEP background acceptable).
• Australian citizenship and NV1 security clearance eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Partner with project and functional leaders from early engagement through to technical completion.
• Lead development of integrated technical solutions aligned with project execution and delivery.
• Provide strategic technical leadership and advice focused on client objectives.
• Engage specialist and SME networks to strengthen project design and delivery outcomes.
• Act as the technical authority for the relevant discipline.
• Drive technical reviews, reporting, value engineering and delivery solutions.
